Leadership

Taras Rohatyn
Executive Director

The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Taras Rohatyn as our new Executive Director, effective July 4, 2011.

Taras received his Honours B.A. from Laurentian University and his Honours degree in Business Administration/Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Windsor. Initially employed in the financial sector at the Federal Business Development Bank and as a Financial Account Manager at RoyNat Inc., he went on to become the Executive Director of the Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities of Windsor/Essex, a position he held from 1986 until 1997. During his time in that position, the organization was transformed into one of the largest regional operations serving adults with physical disabilities in Ontario.

From 1997 to 2006, he served as the Regional Operations Director for the Windsor District of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (formerly the WCB). He was an integral part of a team that worked to rebuild this regional office into a well-respected and business-oriented organization with greatly enhanced job satisfaction among its employees.

From 2007 to 2011, he served as the inaugural President of the Alzheimer's Foundation for Caregiving in Canada, Inc. In a very short time, he was able to create a national not-for-profit social and human services charity directed at member organizations which were then able to form a cohesive and unified advocacy body for the procurement of grants and educational funding for individuals and caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer's disease.

The Board welcomes our new E.D. as he becomes part of our team committed to the enhancement of the provision of primary care for the community we serve.
